testicular cancer no insurance
Testicular cancer, no insurance…?
My boyfriend has had an ultrasound to further look into a lup he has on his testicle. The results say it is suspicious for cancer but want to do a biopsy.
He hasn’t gone in for a biopsy and is scared they will find out it is cancer and will have to have surgery.
He doesn’t have medical insurance and is hesitant to make the next move because of how much money he will have to pay out of pocket.
Does anybody know of any options…?
I found out three weeks ago that I have testicular cancer, and I too did not have medical insurance. I’m not sure where you live, but I checked with the Mississippi Insurance Commission, and they had several programs available for people without insurance, but most would require a 6 month period before paying for any pre-existing condition, but the fact remained that they would help pay for a pre-existing condition (which almost no insurances are going to do).
I also qualified for a sort of financial aid from the hospital (following my surgery on May 1st) because I didn’t have insurance and my income wasn’t high enough. So yall might want to check into that also.
